I quit working with computers and the became chained to the one at home! |
There are some advantages to not having convenient wifi in this urban setting. It didn't seem like it but more and more of each day was spent responding to posts, thinking up new projects and content for the blog, checking email, Facebook, etc. Too much time was sitting in front of the computer. It's fun but was starting to cut into exercise time - it was easy to think "I can't walk right now - I have to get online". The dang PC was taking over my life! It's nice to log on just once or twice a day now.
Speaking of exercise - there will be plenty of it this weekend. I'm leaving early today and hoping to get a camping spot this morning. The campground will be filling up fast. The bike is on the back of the van so then it's just a matter of biking to all of the destinations for the weekend.
I'll be posting pictures on Sunday or so. There are some new destinations as well as some favorites... All of them will be visited by the bike.
Take care. Have a good weekend!

Wait a second. If you're living in your van and have DSL that means you've been dragging copper all over the place. This is what I get for not starting at the beginning.
ReplyDeleteWhich begs the question... what are you using to make your posts now? Did you get another service? or are you using public WiFi? This is a decision I will likely need to make later this year. So, I'm curious about your solution.
ReplyDeleteGood morning... I was using DSL at Dad's house (I'd better fix that post). Just to clarify, the van is usually parked at Dad's house unless I take it out some place to camp. I bought Century Link DSL for Dad to use on his PC and for me to use (via router) from the van.
ReplyDeleteThere is a big, much faster PC in the house for crunching videos, etc. but most of the computing was done outside in the van. At times the DSL was so slow I had to drive elsewhere to get signal. At the moment I'm at McDonald's - a favorite hangout.

Hi, it is better you have to choose some other best DSL serviceprovider for your internet connectivity.
